Hi, I’m Michael Riscica, founder of Young Architect. I’m a Licensed Architect, nationally-recognized Blogger, a Speaker, a Coach and mission-driven advocate for the next generation of Architects.
Why is now the time to attend the Young Architect Conference?
This is our profession, we’re inheriting it. Things are moving at a faster pace than ever before, and more Young Architects are moving into positions of power. Are you equipped for long-term success? You can be.
I created the Young Architect Conference because the world turned virtual, and now more then ever, the Young Architect community needs to be brought back together with an AMAZING online digital event.
WHAT MAKES AN ARCHITECTURE CONFERENCE YOUNG?
WHEN WE SAY “YOUNG”…
Young isn’t about your age in numbers. It is about the way you approach learning.
Wide-eyed, eager and hungry for more. It is the way that you embrace modern technology and realize that yes, even great networking can be done over Zoom. It is the way you feel about your profession, excited and optimistic about the future.
Young isn’t about celebrating the same star-architects or hiring outside celebrity guest speakers to make a conference “great”.
It is about elevating members within the community to have their voices heard on the big stage, which means you can actually relate to what they are saying. We do this by asking our community to submit proposal ideas for workshops and then enroll them in our Speaker Development Program to bring out the very best in them.
Young isn’t about having only one type of person represented as “experts”.
It is about bringing all people, of all backgrounds, colors, genders together to share their voices, equally.
Young is all about the youthful approach to professional development.
It means you know that a suit and tie isn’t what makes you a professional, it is what is on the inside. It’s knowing that you can have fun and get the job done. It is the desire to continuously improve yourself so you can be the best version of you.
Young is talking about the tough stuff, the important stuff, the current stuff, the topics that the next generation will be facing in their lifetimes.
At our conferences we talk about mental health, burnout, soft skills & communication tools, diversity and inclusion just to name a few.
You see, it isn’t the old way of thinking about Architecture Conferences, it is the new, YOUNG way. So are you YOUNG?

YOUNG ARCHITECT CONFERENCE 2022

No, ticket sales are for single users only. The person enrolled is the only person who can access the event and all resources. No sharing of logins or group licenses allowed. Our software monitors multiple logins and IP addresses. Accounts will be automatically disabled if our policy is violated.

How much time you choose to take off work is ultimately up to you.
We encourage you to attend the online event LIVE as much as you can, however all the keynotes, workshops and panels will also be recorded so you can watch later as needed.
Please note: Our evening programming, networking and other celebrations, which starts at 5pm PST/8pm EST daily during the summer series will NOT be recorded as they require your participation. So if you’d like to experience these sessions, please plan accordingly.
Each session will be recorded and you will have access to the recordings shortly after each event.
No, while the conference draws many professionals in architecture, the personal & professional development is applicable to growth-minded people in virtually any creative & design related fields.
NO! 🙂 While other people in the industry have their own definition of what “Young Architect” means, we use “Young Architect” to describe a mindset. That’s right, age has nothing to do with it! In our community, it means enthusiastic, excited, and optimistic, with a passionate spirit to do your very best work, and make your biggest contribution.
Because this is an online event and everything will be available as recordings, refunds will not be offered.
We are currently collecting donations to help try to compensate either fully or partially for tickets to attend. Email [email protected] with your situation and if you need a full or partial scholarship. She will work with the team to evaluate the funds available and let you know how we can help.
